KDUNK POLL

Hi. It's me KDunk.

I am conducting a little poll. My goal is to have every person that looks at this web site today leave a comment.

You don't have to say much. Just hello. Just 'I hate this blog.' Whatever you'd like. Although it would be amazing if you left me a clue to your age or where you live or what you do and a link to your site if you have one. Are you a dude or a chick? Why do you come here? What do you want more/less of? And if you know me tell me.

Please and many thanks.
xoxo

Hello.
I don't hate this blog, I'm a forty-something chick with a husband and some kids.
So. Hi!

Thought I had a jump to be the first comment but then I had to go create a Blogger account just to post (well done, blackbird17, for sniping me!).

I'm just a 32 year old guy in Chicago IL. (New to here actually. I've been a Southern boy up until now.) This blog is one of just a couple that lives in my news aggregator. It's wonderful to have all the facts of the day punctuated periodically by real life stories that are interesting and transparent.

Hi. Been away for a while and saw you posting on BB's blog, so I thought I'd say hello.

I'm a 35-year-old woman living in Seattle, finishing my third novel and wondering whether to run a third marathon. Married to a great guy, no kids, fabulous little dog.

I like your blog, both what you write about and how you write about it, although I'm hesitant to leave you honest feedback about it. Last time you asked for suggestions about what to write, I, being ridiculously romantically minded and very happy for your newly engaged self, suggested you write about the wedding plans, which backfired. I believe you asked if I'd ever read your blog. I'd actually been a steadfast reader for a year and a half.

So, um, like your blog, like your tone. Mostly.

At 12:54 PM, Blogger overunder said...

I'm that guy who's going to take pictures at your wedding.

This blog is great as is, don't change a thing, the honesty and humor in your writing is what keeps me coming back.

kdunk, I really enjoy your blog and flicker and your vimeo is cool too.
I'm a girl [still feel like one anyway] who's dreading her 30th birthday wich is aproching way too fast. I love reading about your relationship with E and the preperation for the wedding because I'm engaged as well.

You should write more about Jane the cat and "what it's liek to date me"

You know me. You know what I do. You know how much I hate what I do. You know about my self-loathing east coast upbringing. You know I have a penchant for blazers and tote bags.

Here's why I love your blog: It's incisive. When you point something out, it's not just for the sake of pointing it out. You have an opinion. And it almost always makes me laugh.

Hi, KD!
I used to comment from time to time until anonymous commenting went out, but before I had my own little webthing going on. (Didn't want an extra login/pw to remember.) I'm a 31 year-old guy, in the Pacific NW, who enjoys romantic dinners and long walks under the moonlight and seeks... oh wait. Wrong description.

Anyway, I really dig your writing and photos - particularly your ability to capture emotions with words. I found my way to slower through you too, which is cool. And now I'm sorta embarrassed for not commenting more!

Hi there,
Hmm....well, no hate here. I'm a chick in PDX, I have a 14 month old daughter and hope to go to grad school this Fall. I really like your site -- your observations. It's mellow and "real". That makes as much sense as paper towels, right?

I love this blog! You're writing is great, entertaining and refreshingly non-egocentric like so many others... and you tell great stories. And you sound like someone I'd have fun hanging out with.

I'm 29, from Philadelphia but living in Prague, Czech Republic with my (American) boyfriend of 5+ years. I teach English and love to cook! And I'm REALLY looking forward to turning 30 in 6 months.

i'm pretty sure i arrived at your blog through your fotolog (way back at the beginning of fotolog).

i pretty much just enjoy being a fly-on-the-wall to your life & thoughts... also enjoy the 'what it's like to date me' columns.

I don't know how long I've been reading your blog, but I do agree that it has been a very reliable source of job-shirking. I always expect to find something humorous/inciteful/just plain interesting but not in that "Hey, look how interesting I am!" sort of way, and I'm rarely disappointed. I don't remember how I got here, but I bookmarked you because of a post you wrote about naked people in gym locker rooms. It cracked me up.

Also? I got married recently and avoided the whole planning chaos by doing it in Vegas. Weddings for the super lazy.

This is an addiction, for which I will curse
your name forever.

Your Humor and intellect made me believe I was clever enough to Start my own blog. http://thedogbite.blogspot.com

God when will the addictions stop...

Hi KDunk!

I'm more familiar with your photos and just stumbled in here by chance. I enjoy your writing too.

I'm 40, a freelance graphic designer, living in seattle and a long-time flogger and flickrer. You may know me as Speedy's dad. Or not.

I read your website but I missed this post so I am retrowriting LIKE A VOICE FROM THE FUTURE.

I am a young woman from The South, who lives a quiet, witness protection program like lifestyle. I read your blog so that when I get drunk at five a.m. I have someone I feel like I know so that I can write you adoring poetry. I hope it is ok if I also request many pictures of you, in specific very specific detail as to how you should look in them. also, I will request that you write me back at least four times a day or I will start getting wicked crazy on you.*

How did you get such nice, normal, emotionally stable readers?
