YOU PEOPLE ROCK

Thank you to all of you that left a comment in yesterday's post about who you are, where you are, what you do. You all are far more interesting sounding then I'll ever be. For those of you that didn't get a chance to leave a comment I would SO appreciate hearing more about you so there is still time. Again, I thank you for all the nice feedback. While I was set out to figure more about YOU you helped me figure more about ME and this writing and this blog. And for this I am grateful.

I've forgotten how I first found MTD. But I was struck by some very short and witty entries. They kept me coming back.

I don't blog myself, but I do flickr and I've enjoyed seeing your work there, too.

I'm a 30-something doctoral candidate in the Midwest.

Hi, I found your blog through Momo (sniff!). I'm an editor in Canberra, Australia, about to turn 30. Your writing rocks the Kasbah.

Hi,
I'm your loyal reader #59283. I'm 21, female, 3rd time magazine intern, currently living in western MA. (Yes, there are a few magazines in western MA.)

I originally found you through fotolog. I've since given up on fotolog (and webshots...ugh) and converted to flickr (username Mickie D).

My favorite post was about your dad asking permission to read your blog, since my senior thesis was (okay, IS, I haven't finished yet and will graduate as soon as I'm done) on blogs and privacy.

And, you know, the rest of your posts are great too.

I just wanted to make sure I have a comment in the "You People Rock" post, thus solidifying the fact that I rock. Nothing more to see here - move along.

Hmm - why do I read your blog. I've lived in NYC for most of my 42 years. I like the way your mind goes.
I hope that makes sense.
